Dr. Chandra Kamal Chetia
Dr. Chandra Kamal Chetia, a distinguished scholar and educator, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Assamese at Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev University, Nagaon. His academic journey began at Demow College, where he studied in the Department of Assamese from 2003 to 2008. He earned his master’s degree in Assamese from Dibrugarh University in 2010 and was awarded a Ph.D. in 2015.
Since 2012, Dr. Chetia has passionately pursued the study of Assam’s ethnic culture, contributing significantly to the field through his research and writings. His repertoire includes several acclaimed books such as অসমৰ জনগোষ্ঠীয় লোকসংস্কৃতি (Ethnic Folk Culture of Assam), সংস্কৃতি-সমীক্ষণ (Culture-Review), উজনি অসমৰ জনগোষ্ঠীয় সাধুকথা (Ethnic Stories of Upper Assam), অসমৰ সংস্কৃতি-অধ্যয়ন (Culture-Study of Assam), অসমীয়া সংস্কৃতিৰ স্বৰূপ (Characteristics of Assamese Culture), and লোককৃষ্টি আৰু লোকজীৱন (Folklore and Folk Life), among others.
