Dr. Pankaj Luchan Gogoi

Dr. Pankaj Luchan Gogoi is an Assistant Professor of English at Digboi Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Digboi, Tinsukia, Assam. He has the teaching experience of 18 years at college. Initially, he started his teaching career as Assistant Professor at Demow College, Sivasagar, Assam in 2006. Later, he joined at Digboi Mahila Mahavidyalaya in 2011 and since then he has been working there as Assistant Professor. Dr. Gogoi did his Ph.D. on the works of the Indian diaspora writer Jhumpa Lahiri and the title of his thesis is “Interrogating Subjectivity in a Liminal Space in Jhumpa Lahiri’s Works”. Dr. Gogoi has participated in many national and international seminars, conferences and workshops and published papers in the proceedings therein. He has published many research papers in national and international journals. He has also served as resource person in national and international conferences. He was one of the resource persons at
Refresher Course in English at Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai from 14th September to 27th September, 2021. He was the resource person of International Virtual Seminar on “Recent Trends in Children’s Literature” held at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore on 11th October, 2021. He was the resource person of Two Day International Conference on New Millennium India and World Literature: A Comprehensive Approach at Madurai Kamaraj University on 29th October, 2021. He was the resource person of national seminar on “Celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in Kashi: On Contemporary Indian Literature” at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi from 21st July to 22nd July, 2023. He organized UGC sponsored national seminar at his college in 2015 and International webinar in 2021. Currently, he is the Coordinator of IQAC of his college and contributes significantly to academics in many capacities.
He studied at Demow college from 1998 to 2003. He was one of the first students of Major in English opened in the college in 2000. Mentionably, he was the topper of English major in 2003 under Dibrugarh University and was awarded with Subodh Chandra Dey Sarkar Memorial Trust Award for that in 2003 by Tinsukia Women’s College.
