International Day Against Drug Abuse & Ilicit Trafficking was Observed and it was organized by the IQAC Demow College in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club. The students of Demow College took an pledge in solidarity with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and took an oath to contribute towards building a drug-free India.

The students of the Department of Sociology, Demow College, successfully participated in the Community Engagement Programme held on 25th June, 2025. As part of the programme, the students, accompanied by faculty members, visited Athabari Bagicha LP School. An engaging and interactive session was conducted with the local residents, during which the students raised several thought-provoking questions related to the Adivasi community — the predominant group in the area. The interaction offered valuable insights into the community’s present-day socio-economic and cultural realities.
